Starting the year with a BANG!

It’s been a busy year so far, starting off with my trip to Arizona for the incredible Tucson Gem Show. It’s always great to be back in the desert, especially for such an exciting and inspiring event! I am having so much fun designing and creating new pieces incorporating my new treasures!

I am loving the combination of the metal work with my new stones- Tiger’s Eye in three different colors!

All kinds of fun projects and events have been keeping me busy lately! In October I was honored to be the Feature Artist at the Phoenix Gallery in Washington D.C. for Georgetown Gallery Gaze. It was a great opportunity to display my whole collection, including new designs, and to meet and shmooze with the fashion savvy art buyers of D.C.

I also recently made another television appearance in Phoenix, AZ on ABC channel 15’s program “Sonoran Living”, to talk about Tina Bark Designs and give some tips on wearing bold statement pieces!

Coming up this week the Gallery Yes.Oui.Si will open its doors in Boston, and I am excited to be selling my jewelry there now, as well!
I will soon post some pictures of me at my workbench- I’m still hard at work coming up with new designs and beautiful pieces of wearable art!

A Look at Some of the New Pieces!

BANGLES!
These copper and sterling silver bangles make me feel like Wonder Woman when I wear them!

I started my Gourd Series a few months ago and have been selling them as quickly as I can make them! Each one is unique , and there’s a beautiful earth-bound quality that is captured in the bold three-dimensional shape.

The butterflies keep getting bigger and better! This ring is a commissioned piece, where I was able to include the initials of the buyer in the wing design (GM- can you see it?). I love placing the butterfly at an angle, as if it has just landed on your finger!

I am so excited about my GIANT flowers! The poppy is one of my favorite flowers, and the inspiration for this piece.
I have also made this flower in black and a muted copper, one for every occasion!

Tina Bark Designs has Hit the East Coast!

I have been busy this summer creating new designs and constructing sculptural jewelry, and have now taken it to Washington, D.C.!
I immediately found the perfect gallery/boutique to house my pieces, appropriately called The Phoenix! (www.thephoenixdc.com) and as in London, I again feel honored to have a place in the window where my pieces can be seen from one of the most popular streets in Georgetown!Each unique piece designed and hand-crafted by Tina Bark Designs!

Eagerly Awaiting Spring!

It might still be January, but the hot desert sun and cool breeze makes me feel like it’s spring! I can’t wait for the blooming of the incredible cactus flowers and the beautiful dancing butterflies!

Back to the Desert

I return to my home in the desert, and instantly feel recharged with creative energy. Huge blue skies and imposing saguaro cacti surround me, the art of Georgia O’Keefe in the forefront of my mind as my current inspiration. I can’t wait to get working!
